• About Harlan Kleiman

    As a consultant for Minnesota-based Medical Management Systems until March 2016, Harlan Kleiman provided the drug guidance outreach firm with introductions to a wide range of institutions, including the University of Pittsburgh Medical System. A longtime financial executive, Harlan Kleiman previously guided the San Francisco-based Self Health Network, which developed a software system designed to enhance the comfort and safety of patients following discharge from a hospital setting. The software connected individuals with their caregiver, pharmacist, and physician, and had health monitoring functions as well.

    For more than two decades, Mr. Kleiman headed Shoreline Pacific Equity as CEO and founder and undertook equity investments spanning a variety of sectors, including telecom, biotech, health care, and natural resources. His firm was successful in raising approximately $2 billion to fund companies such as ICN Pharmaceuticals, ImClone, and Dendroon. During this time, Mr. Kleiman authored an Amazon best-selling business book on private investments in public entities.

    Community involved, Harlan Kleiman has served on the board of the Northern California public television and radio station KQED and supports the Buck Institute for Research on Aging.
